James of Portugal (also known as James of Lusitania, Jaime or Jacobus) was the son of Infante Dom Pedro of the House of Aviz. He was a Cardinal and Archbishop of Lisbon and a Portuguese ambassador. He died in Florence on August 15, 1459, at the age of twenty-six, and was buried in the Basilica di San Miniato al Monte.
