James Villanueva

Prof. James Villanueva is the Director and Owner of J. Villanueva's English language and adult language centre in Singapore which began in 1984 as a language specialist research and development establishment dedicated to the improvement in learning or mastering the English Language.

He was born in Singapore and received 3 Ph. D's in Psycholinguistics, English Language and Creative Writing/Humanities at the unaccredited Pacific Western University in USA., Masters Course - Applied Linguistics - An Overseas Award for Foreign Students (Lancaster University/UK); Certificate of Education (Singapore); MBIM (UK); FBSC (UK) Teachers Training Certificate (Singapore), Teaching of English as a Foreign Language - TESL/TEFL (Sydney University, New South Wales, Australia) Colombo Plan Award.
After he received his Masters, Prof. James Villanueva went on to become a graduate teacher and a principal for the Education Department of Singapore. After serving in the Malayan Royal Naval Reserve, he worked as the Director of Language Studies for the Adult Education Board (1969-1975) and later as a senior lecturer in the English Department of the National University of Singapore (1976-1983).
Villanueva's recently written book The Visage of Terrorism—The Hounds of Hell (Vantage Press Inc, 419 Park Ave South, New York ISBN 0-533-15195-32006) presents the idea of terrorism as the worst form of barbarism by military and quasi-military leaders, providing a landscape in which readers can see the best and worst of which man is capable.
Villanueva has brought together a wide range of frightening scenarios and gripping plot twists which put life as it is presently viewed into perspective and explore the ideas of extreme radicalism and intolerance of freedom.
