James Vaughan (defender)

James Vaughan (born 6 December 1986 in Liverpool) is an English football defender for Chester City and is the son of the club's chairman.

Vaughan made more than 50 appearances for Tranmere Rovers reserves, before leaving Prenton Park in December 2005.

The youngster, who joins his older brother Stephen at the Saunders Honda Stadium, has turned in some impressive performances for City's Youth and Reserve sides since he joined Chester in January 2006.

James Vaughan stepped up to first team squad duty in February 2006.
