James Tucker

James Tucker is an American artist, born in Balboa, Panama on Jan 27th, 1974. His work has mainly been in the commercial/industrial field and includes design for the city of Seattle, Pierce College, and various organizations thoughout the NW United States.

His Focus is based in concept, not so much in technique. According to James, staying foucused on the core idea or concept of a piece allows him to not become constrained a certain media. "Steel does not feel like wool, nor look like it. If I am trying to represent an idea that may look and feel like steel or has those characteristics, well then, I better know how to work steel. The same is true of the wool, paint, plastic or anything else I need the characteristics of."
