James Tredwell

James Tredwell (born February 27, 1982) is an English cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm offbreak bowler.

Born in Ashford, Kent, Tredwell made three appearances for England's Under-19 team, including a debut performance which also saw the first performances from James Anderson and Matthew Prior.

He was offered a contract with Kent in 2001 after impressing with the youth team. He was one of fourteen players who were selected for the National Academy in Loughborough, and the subsequent tours of Malaysia and India. During the tour he hit career-best figures of 5-101.

He played just two County Championship games in 2005, but played extensively in the one-day game, earning an extension to his contract.
