This article is about the college football quarterback. For the American writer, see James H. Street.

James Street was a quarterback at the University of Texas from 1966-69. He engineered the Longhorns' wishbone offense his final two years, and in his senior campaign led the Longhorns to the national championship. Street played under legendary coach Darrell K. Royal. He was also a right-handed pitcher on the Longhorns baseball team. Street tossed two no-hitters in helping lead the Longhorns to two Southwest Conference titles.

James Street is the father of Oakland A's pitcher Huston Street. He still lives in Austin, Texas, and has four other sons.[1]
