James Stephens Bulloch

James Stephens Bulloch (1793 – February 18, 1849) was an early Georgia settler and ancestor of Theodore Roosevelt. Bulloch was the grandson of Georgia governor Archibald Bulloch.[1]

Born in Savannah, Georgia, he moved his family to Roswell, Georgia in 1839 to partner with Roswell King in establishing a cotton mill. He built his Roswell home, Bulloch Hall, in 1840. With his wife Martha Stewart, he had four children: Charles Irvine Bulloch, Irvine Stephens Bulloch, Anna Bulloch and Martha Bulloch.
