James Robinson (basketball)

James Robinson (born August 31, 1970 in Jackson, Mississippi) is a former professional basketball player, most notably in the NBA.
Robinson, an undersized 6'2" shooting guard, attended the University of Alabama before being selected with the 21st overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. Known for his streak-shooting abilities in college, his NBA career was considered a bust. Robinson's claim to fame was finishing 6th in the 1994 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
His last appearance was in 2004 with the Las Vegas Rattlers of the American Basketball Association.
