James River High School is a public high school located in Buchanan, Virginia. It serves the Northern part of Botetourt County, including the towns of Buchanan, Eagle Rock, Fincastle, and Springwood. James River was founded in 1959 with the consolodation of Buchanan, Eagle Rock, and Fincastle High Schools. It is currently under a process of renovation including the addition of a new wing, a new gym, and remodeled athletic fields and stadiums.
