James Oatley

James Oatley was a convict sent to Sydney, New South Wales. Later he was given a conditional pardon. He was given several land grants. The Sydney suburb of Oatley was named after James Oatley,snr.
James fathered three sons: Robert, James and George. George died in infancy. Later James became the foster father of Frederick Stokes who assumed the name of Oatley.
