James O'Brien (footballer)

James 'Jim' O'Brien (born September 28, 1990 in Vale of Leven, Scotland) is an Irish footballer who plays right midfield and forward. He is currently on loan to Dunfermline Athletic from Celtic.

O'Brien made his senior footballing debut in Dunfermline's 3-2 Scottish Cup victory over Rangers on 7 January 2007. He had previously only played for Celtic's youth squad.

Although born in Scotland he has decided to represent the Republic of Ireland internationally and is a current member of their under-19's squad.

Along with fellow Celtic player Ryan Conroy, he attented Our Lady and St Patricks High School in Dumbarton.
