James M. Phillips

James M. Phillips founded many technology based ventures including SkyTel, iPIX Corporation, Luminetx Corporation, Snowflake Technologies Corporation. Phillips began his with Nortel Networks and Motorola, holding various management positions. As founding Chairman and CEO of the FedEx Institute of Technology, Phillips helped establish a leading research park on the campus of the University of Memphis.
Phillips’s contributions as an innovator and business leader have been noted in many publications, including Forbes, Fortune, Business Week, Red Herring, The Standard, WIRED, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Today. Phillips has appeared on Fox News, CNN, CNNfn, CNBC, the BBC and CBS Morning News.
