James L. Kraft

James Lewis (J.L.) Kraft (1874–1953) was a Canadian-American entrepreneur and inventor. Born near Stevensville, Ontario to Mennonite parents, he was the first to patent processed cheese and, after moving to Chicago in 1903, founded J.L. Kraft & Bros. Company, which would later become Kraft Foods Inc. He served as the company's president from 1909 to 1953.
