James Ingstad

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

James Ingstad is a Fargo, North Dakota resident who owns Radio Fargo-Moorhead, Inc., consisting of KFGO, KMXW, KBVB, KRWK, KVOX (AM), and WDAY-FM, which were formerly owned by Clear Channel Communications. Ingstad is also the brother of former American Top 40 host Shadoe Stevens (born as Terry Ingstad).

Ingstad owned the Fargo Clear Channel stations from 1996 until 2000 until they were sold to Clear Channel. KDAM signed on in 2002. The stations were sold back to Ingstad on September 28, 2006, and approved by the FCC on January 19, 2007. KFAB-FM will be donated to Northwestern College, which also owns KFNW AM & FM in Fargo, since the FCC ownership limit for the market is six stations. This will also allow WDAY-FM to use KFNW-FM's tower site as a transmitter. Ingstad also owned many stations in Minnesota and Iowa.
