James Holland (footballer)

James Holland (born May 15, 1989 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is an football (soccer) player. He is a train-on striker for the Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners. He was a short-term signing added to the Mariners playing roster in the 2006-07 season. Holland captained the NSW Under-16 side at the 2005 Qantas National Talent Identification Championships in Parklea, a tournament the NSW team ultimately won.
He is a 2007 AIS Football scholarship holder and will be a major part of their squad for the upcoming Foxtel Victorian Premier League season. When this finishes, James is expected to sign with the Mariners for the 2007-08 campaign as one of the club's mandatory Under-20 players, and will hope to get game time in arguably Asia's premier competition. James is an Australian Under-17 national team representative, a prolific striker in this squad playing alongside fellow promising forward for A-League rivals Newcastle United Jets Marco Jesic, a good friend and partner-in-crime.
