James Hearn

James Daniel Guy Hearn[citation needed] (born on 19 June 1976) is an English singer-songwriter. He is best known as being the former vocalist of now defunct boyband Ultra.

He attended the same high school as Ultra's guitarist and drummer, Mike Harwood and Jon O'Mahony, respectively, where they met. He was in the same class as Mike, and Jon was a couple of years older.
After graduating from his school he went to Leeds University and studied Geography and Management. He graduated in 1999. He was once a pentathlon athlete, but when he realised that sport was not the highest paid career choice, he turned to music and formed Ultra with Mike, Jon and bassist Nick Keynes. He wrote most of songs on their self-titled debut album.
His favourite artists are Peter Gabriel and Stereo MCs. After he quit from Ultra, he trained to become a surveyor.
