James Gordon (Mississippi)

James Gordon (December 6, 1833 – November 28, 1912) was an American planter, writer, and politician from Okolona, Mississippi. During the Civil War he was a Colonel in the Confederate Army. He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives and briefly represented Mississippi in the United States Senate in 1909 and 1910.
