James Frost is the Guitarist for Welsh Indie/Rock band The Automatic. He has been part of the band since their early days as ‘White Rabbit’. Along with band-mate Alex Pennie he provides backing vocals, these include the well known high pitch sound vocals, as well as normal backing vocals. Frost is 20 years old.
He is also well known for his wide range of posses known as "Frost faces", he generally pulls at photo shots. He is described on the bands website [2] “a wide-eyed emo-boy”. Frost also has shown not very safe under the influence of alcohol whilst performing, for example a particular incident on GMTV where himself, and keyboardist Alex Pennie destroy the set that they are performing 'Monster' on. It involved Frost smashing his guitar on the floor (a black fender squire) and then running into Iwan Griffiths drum kit, whilst Pennie jumps off of amps and strips down to his boxers. The band have since been banned from playing on GMTV, however say that they did not want to play (as they were playing along to a recording, and not performing it live) so they got drunk and smashed the set up.
Frosts also achieved 20th in the NME cool awards 2006. Like all members of The Automatic Frost has a myspace page. Frost can be seen on a photo by the bands photographer Peter Hill skateboarding on there january tour of europe [3]
