James (Jim) Douglas Fleck, O.C. (born c. 1931) is a Canadian businessman, academic, and philanthropist.

Fleck has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Doctor of Business Administration from Harvard University.
[edit] Academic and public servant career
From 1964 to 1966, he was a faculty member at the Harvard Business School. From 1966 to 1970, he was the Associate Dean, Faculty of Administrative Studies at York University. From 1973 to 1974, he was CEO, Office of the Premier of Ontario. From 1974 to 1975, he was Secretary of the Cabinet. From 1976 to 1978, he was the Deputy Minister of Industry and Tourism. Since 1979, he has been a Professor at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and is currently the M. Wallace McCutcheon Professor of Business Government Relations.

He was the founder, Chairman and CEO of Fleck Manufacturing Inc., a manufacturer of power cords and wiring assemblies which he founded in 1954 and sold in 1994 to Noma Industries Ltd. for C$42-million in cash, notes, stock and warrants. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of ATI Technologies Inc. until its was acquired by AMD in 2006. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of AMD and Certicom Inc. He was a member of the board of directors of Zurich Life Insurance Company of Canada.

He was Chairman of the Board and President of the Art Gallery of Ontario and is the President of the Art Gallery of Ontario Foundation.

In 1977, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal. In 1997, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 2003, he was awarded the Edmund C. Bovey Award for Leadership Support of the Arts. In 2002, he received an honorary LLD degree from the University of Toronto.
His wife Margaret, was ordained in the Anglican Church of Canada in 1982. They have four children.
