James Fairbairn

James Valentine Fairbairn (28 July 1897–13 August 1940) was an Australian Cabinet Minister and member of the House of Representatives, representing the Division of Flinders from 1933 until his death in 1940. Fairbairn died in the Canberra air disaster, 1940. Fairbairn Airbase located was named after him in 1953. His nephew Sir David Fairbairn was also a federal politician.
