James Easton

James Andrew Easton, OBE (b. September 1, 1931) is a former British diplomat and Foreign Service officer.
He is also music composer and performer. He has also been a Feature Writer of the Accordion Times since 1992.

He has been married since 1960 to the former Rosemary Hobbin; they have three children. He attended the St. John Cantius School, Broxburn, and went on to receive a Business Administration Diploma from Columbia University.
Served in the King’s Own Hussars, 3rd Div. (1952 - 1955; in the Admiralty from 1957 - 1960; and at the British Foreign Office from 1960 to 1989, when he retired from HM Diplomatic Service ([1]).
