[edit] Trivia
He has played a character named "Freb" in two different, unrelated movies (Gone in Sixty Seconds and Frog-g-g!).
He almost didn't audition for the part of Frank in Donnie Darko, because the script listed the character as a six foot tall blond. James didn't know if he was fit to be Frank, despite his love for the script and the character. His manager urged him to do it anyway, and he got the part.
