James Dowling

Sir James Dowling (25 November 1787 - 27 September 1844) was an Australian jurist in New South Wales.

James Dowling was born in London, England on 25 November 1787. He died 27 September 1844.

Dowling was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales from 30 August 1837 to 27 September 1844 and was present at the trial of the Myall Creek Massacre.
