James B. Conant High School, or Conant, is a public four-year high school located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Township High School District 211, which also includes William Fremd High School, Hoffman Estates High School, Palatine High School, and Schaumburg High School

Conant opened its doors to students in 1964, and was the first high school built within Schaumburg Township, the third in District 211. It was named after James Bryant Conant, a chemist and educator who was a leading authority on teacher education, helping to model the high school system used today.

In 2005, Conant had an average composite ACT score of 23. The average class size is 25.7. The United States Department of Education has recognized Conant High School as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
Conant has not made Adequate Yearly Progress on the Prairie State Achievement Examination, a state test part of the No Child Left Behind Act.[1] Conant was also deemed the best school in AP testing by the College Board in 2006.[2]
The Math Team have made it to the Illinois State Finals as a team for the past 2 years.

Conant competes in the Mid-Suburban League West Conference and Illinois High School Association. Its mascot is the Cougars. The school has been most successful in wrestling, while in recent years girls' gymnastics and cheerleading have won State of Illinois Championships.

Paul Solomon Hermis, Ed.D. 3 time National Qualifier for the American Drug Free Power Lifting Association, Educator and Economic Development Professional, Creator of the highly innovative HomeLand Security program "Middle Eastern Cross Cultural Awareness for Community Policing".
