James Arthur Ray

James Arthur Ray is a philosopher identified with the movement known as "the power of positive thinking." he is known in self-help circles for motivating individuals to create wealth based on the notion that energy in the universe is everything and always will be everything. He is a proponent of the ideas that human thought is always in line with the laws of the universe because thought is energy, and that an individual's ideas are thoughts that can be manifested into physical form. In other words, any idea can crystallize into matter. Following the line of so-called "rational" philosphers that can be traced back to René Descartes, Ray believes that human thought (based on a postive attitude where one combines feeling good with intuitive action) can help one accomplish anything and get what they want in life.
Ray is one of the teachers featured in the 2006 film The Secret. As a result of the success of the film, James has been featured on Oprah, Larry King Live, and other talk shows.
