Jamal Zangana

Jamal Zangana, (Born: 21st of March, 1949, Kirkuk City). Dr Jamal Zangana studied in Istanbul, Turkey for 5 years where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering. He then completed his masters’ degree in Madison Wisconsin University in the United States of America [1]. He then carried out research in medical and chemical engineering for which he gained his Doctorate in Holland. Currently he writes in Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish and English. His work mostly relates to Kurdish culture and politics with reference to international and historical contexts. He was one of the first writers to comment on the chemical attacks in the city of Halabja. He is known for neutral writing and independent views. Many of his articles have also been translated into other languages [2].. Currently he resides in the United Kingdom with his family.
