JAL Mileage Bank

JAL Mileage Bank(JMB, Japanese: JALマイレージバンク) is a frequent flyer programme provided by Japan Airlines and its subsidary airlines. The number of its member is approximately 195 million (as of December 2006) and JMB has the largest FFP members in Japan. Japan Airlines established its frequent flyer programme first among Japanese Airline Companies.

[edit] JMB FLY ON Programme

FLY ON Programme is a JAL Mileage Bank's elite programme. JMB members can earn "FLY ON Points(FOP)" (elite qualifying miles,EQM) and elite qualifying segments(EQS) by boarding JAL group flights, then can be qualified elite status below from 2 months after a member reachs each target to the second end of March. (Some privileges such as upgrade coupons are provided from next April after qualification)

From April 2007, FLY ON Points(EQM) and EQS can also be earned by any Oneworld member flights. Due to its joining Oneworld alliance, JMB members are to be required to board 4 or more JAL group flights a year to be qualified as elite members.

JMB elite status are as such;

  • JMB Crystal (※Oneworld Ruby}
30,000 or more FOP, or 10,000 or more FOP and 30 or more EQS
  • JMB Sapphire (Oneworld Sapphire)
50,000 or more FOP, or 15,000 or more FOP and 50 or more EQS
  • JGC Premier (Oneworld Emerald)
70,000 or more FOP, or 80 or more EQS (only qualified to JAL Global Club(JGC) members)
  • JMB Diamond (Oneworld Emerald)
100,000 or more FOP, or 120 or more EQS


※Oneworld Sapphire status can be qualified if a JAL Global Club member achived JMB Clystal qualification.
