[edit] Speedy deletion notice

A tag has been placed on Naiad (Narnia), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade 07:25, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of speedy tags

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Seraphimblade 09:23, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
  1. place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion notice(s)
  2. make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Seraphimblade 22:54, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion notice

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Gender debates on Narnian creatures) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Dåvid ƒuchs (talk • contribs) 00:42, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your images

Hi- you have uploaded several images (you can see them here) and tagged them with {{PD-self}}. This should only be used for images that you, personally, created from scratch. It should not generally be used when you modified another copyrighted work, took a screenshot of a television program, or some such thing. Please clarify on the image description pages where you got the images from. If they are screenshots from movies that you captured and thus they have no URL source, please say something like, "I took a screenshot of (name of movie)". TV screenshots should be tagged with {{tv-screenshot}}. Category:Non-free image copyright tags has a large number of tags that you can use - if you cannot find the one that most accurately describes where the image came from, please let me know that and I will be happy to help you. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. --BigDT 02:18, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gender debates on Narnian creatures

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Gender debates on Narnian creatures, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.

[edit] Steve Austin images

Thank you for your contributions to Steve Austin (fictional character) but there are now simply too many images. Wikipedia policy is cracking down on the use of non-free images on the website, and to have so many images in one article will most likely result in all being deleted unless they are paired down quickly (please see the discussion at Talk:Steve Austin (fictional character). I have recommended the two most representative images be chosen and the rest removed. 23skidoo 14:23, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
