[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Petraband.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Petraband.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 23:59, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I do realize now. I ended up not using the image, so it can be deleted. Jake0geek 11:57, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

- why? Jake0geek 17:00, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Jake, just had a quick look in the archives for you. The image was deleted as it was judged to be Unencyclopedic, and the person was non-notable. These are the sort of things as an administrator you would have to do (close AfDs, act on IfDs and Speedy Deletes etc.). It is clear you weren't sure of what RfA was all about. If you want some advice in the future don't hesitate to ask. --Wisden17 00:21, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your request for adminship
Hey Jake. I saw your recent request for adminship. You might not be aware of this, but most voters there require at least 1000 edits or sometimes multiple thousands to even start to consider someone. I suggest you withdraw the request. Otherwise you're just going to get a lot of people opposing you, and that won't be good for your feelings or your relationship with Wikipedia. If you don't know how to withdraw it properly, I can help you with that. Just leave a note on my talk page. moink 18:26, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Jake, I have removed your request and closed it as it is very, very unlikely to succeed, and it would have been very depressing for you to see additional oppose votes coming in. You may revert my closure, but keep in mind that even if you do, it will not help your nomination's chance of succeeding. Regards, Kimchi.sg 21:38, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Cap-n-crunch.cbx.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Cap-n-crunch.cbx.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kino.ssp.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Kino.ssp.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
