Jakobselva

The 25 miles long Jakobselva River - Jakobs River in English - comes from the mountains at the Varanger Peninsula in the extreme north-eastern Norway.
The Jakobselva River winds its way down through a lush birch wood valley, on its way to the Varanger Fjord. The river is known to be a superb sport fishing river, with a lot of big salmon.
Vestre Jakobselv is a tiny community by the Jakobselva River.
Jakobselva lends it name to the Grense Jakobselv border station, operated by the Norwegian Army.
