Jakob Prandtauer

Jakob Prandtauer (baptized in Stanz bei Landeck (Tyrol) on July 16, 1660, died in Sankt Pölten on September 16, 1726) was a Baroque Austrian architect.

Trained as stonemason rather than as an architect, he designed and supervised the construction of the Monastery Church of Melk, in Melk, Austria.
