Jake Wood

Jake Wood (born 12 July 1972) is a British actor.
He has appeared in many television series and films since 1985. His first acting role was in the 1985 film Flesh & Blood. He has since appeared in several television series such as Only Fools and Horses, Inspector Morse, One Foot in the Grave, Red Dwarf and Doc Martin. He also appeared in the film Vera Drake. As well as these he appeared in Le Café des Rêves, a BBC produced 5 part serial drama produced by the BBC for French Students. He appeared as two different characters in the series Press Gang. He made a brief appearance in the episode "The Rest of My Life", and played an accidental killer in "Killer on the Line".
Jake Wood is the current voice of the GEICO gecko. Jake also featured as part of a team presenting Click, a computer games magazine on VHS video in the early '90s.
He currently plays Max Branning in the BBC soap opera EastEnders since July 2006. Later that year he appeared in the period film The Illusionist opposite Edward Norton.
