[edit] Synopsis
A gremlin is on the loose within the New York City Subway System. Jake's Grandfather insists that the best way to defeat them is lulling them to sleep with a song called "The Hubba Hubba Hula" by an Elvis impersonater who sings traditional Hawaiian music. Jake, however prefers an old-fashioned dragon-style smack-down, and carries one out against the gremlin, which results in the derailment of the F Train and it's emergence to street level. Jake is convinced he has defeated the gremlin, but in reality, it has hitched a ride in his backpack.
Meanwhile, at home Mrs. Long's big catering gig is for Jasma Sancere(Kari Wahlgren) and Thad Rochefort-Chaise(Rob Paulsen), two soap opera co-stars, who are touted as having the wedding of the century, both of which have been married on numerous occasions on their show. Jake offers to help, but after too many mishaps in the past, his mother tries to keep him away. The gremlin trashes Jake's MP3 player, the TV, the oven, microwave oven, the doorbell, the toaster, and the fax machine, where Jake thinks he caught it again. However with his mom's fax machine, the gremlin makes photocopies of himself at the hotel where the wedding is supposed to take place. Two photocopies of the gremlin break loose, and make more copies of themsleves to make more chaos, by wrecking all the electrical equipment at the hotel, including the platform where the party is supposed to take place. Jake does everything he can to stop them from wrecking the place, but they get away, leaving him alone in front of his mother who just arrives, with the assumption that he was somehow responsible.
Meanwhile when Fu carries the first gremlin in a pickle jar on his way to Lao Shi's shop, he sees Lao Shi crooning along to the Elvis Kamehameha CD, which startles and disturbs him. Fu drops the jar and the Gremlin breaks free to wreck everything in the store.
Frustrated with the gremlin copies, Jake decides to sneak behind his mother's back and finish them off once and for all. He demands that they get into a sack(which proves to be easier than he expected), but they escape, and cause havoc throughout Times Square. Jake calls his grandfather for help, and he reiterates that he should sing the "Hubba Hubba Hula" to lull them all to sleep. Jake still refuses, and believes it would be impossible to do anyway. But when he sees the otherwise happy couple vowing to make sure that his mother never gets another catering gig on a big screen TV in Times Square, he finally gives into Lao Shi's advice on how to stop the gremlins. Much to her surprise, Jake saves the wedding, and puts his own hip-hop touch to the tune. The gremlins fall asleep, and the newlyweds kiss passionatley. The only thing Jake has to deal with now, is the flak he's going to take from the rest of his fellow pupils at school the next day.
