Dr. Joseph "Jake" Martin Jr. was a popular fictional character on the long-running American daytime drama All My Children. Since the character's on-screen birth in 1979, he has been played by several actors, most recently J. Eddie Peck.

Jake, then called Joey, was born to Dr. Joe Martin and his second wife, Ruth. He grew up a good kid and as a young adult, fell in love with Emily Ann Sago. Although the two married against Joe & Ruth's wishes, their love wasn't meant to last. When Emily Ann discovered that sadistic pimp Billy Clyde Tuggle was her birth father, she became mentally unhinged. After trying to help her the best he could, Joey divorced her after she was locked up in the mental institution. Soon after, Joey left for medical school in 1991.

Joey returned to Pine Valley in 1996, now known as Jake. Having dropped out of medical school, he became a handyman.
