Jake Buxton (born 4 March 1985 in Sutton-in-Ashfield) is an English footballer, who currently plays for Mansfield Town. Buxton is a versatile defender who usually played at right-back in the early years of his career, but was successfully converted to central defender in 2006-07. He has also played several games at left-back, and had a few emergency appearances in central midfield.

Buxton has played his entire career at Mansfield. He is a graduate of the Stags' youth system, and made his first-team debut in October 2002. However, it wasn't until the 2004-05 season that he established himself as a regular member of the first team. Since then, he has played more than 100 first-team games for the Stags, scoring two goals.

In May 2006, Buxton signed a contract extension which will keep him at Mansfield until the end of the 2007-08 season. In January 2007, he was named team captain following Richard Barker's departure.
