Talk:Jaime Pressly

[edit] Regarding jamie-pressly.org link
I removed the "Irresistible Jaime Pressly" link because it strikes me as nothing more than a fanboy website with information from other sources. (I would rather get the information directly from the sources this website used than the fan site iteself.) Thoughts? -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 18:12, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. I always go for first-hand sources. Interviews are really best of all. JackO'Lantern 21:05, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
You remove it then I will keep putting it back up, the Celebrities on Wikipedia are FULL of links to fansites, you might not like it but other people might appreciate it.
- Then you are clearly not acting with civility and have utter disregard for your fellow Wikipedian's views and beliefs about policy. You have not pointed out any rational reason of why this link should be included in this article -- actually, you just simply reacted by adding your above reply and, then, shot yourself in the foot by blanking the entire discussion. (Which begs the question of why you bothered to reply in the first place, when you would erase not only previous comments on the link, but your own reply as well... but I digress.) Also, you clearly haven't read the guidelines for external links -- and just because celebrities on Wikipedia are full of links to fan sites doesn't mean that they should be linked on Wikipedia. I will kindly refer you to the fact that Wikipedia is not a link farm or repository for links. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 23:05, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
I went to edit what I wrote & accidently deleted everything - beyond my control I am afraid. What I really want to know though is what GIVES YOU the right to play GOD & take away EVERYONE elses FREEDOM OF CHOICE & the FREEDOM TO MAKE UP THEIR OWN MIND & MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS? You are NOTHING but a narrow minded, ASSHOLE & I have to say that its people like you that give abortion a good name.
- No personal attacks, sweety. Check out Wikipedia:External links, where Joe up there sent you. It's an official Wikipedia policy and we have to follow it. JackO'Lantern 08:16, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- I understand that you are angry, but everyone must follow Wikipedia policy. No one, I'm not afraid to say, is above Wikipedia policy... which is clearly something you have not reviewed, given your past actions. Now, I am willing to help you out -- despite the personal attacks -- and my door is always open for new people. Since it is clear to me that you haven't read over the policies and procedures on Wikipedia, or even have basic understanding of Wikipedia operations (such as reverting edits), I will highly recommend that you take some time and read over the applicable policies, so that incidents of this nature do not occur again. In fact, a majority of the links needed to guide you in the right direction have already been posted on your user talk page by Jeandré! Of course, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to post them! Thank you! -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 16:14, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Source for Carson Daly link
Under "Personal Life", it said that Pressly was linked with Carson Daly, and gave this as a source, but the "source" is just a WireImage page that contains no material to support this assertion. I removed that link, and placed a source needed tag at the end of that passage.
[edit] Drew's body double in Poison Ivy?
I know everybody says she was, but who hires a girl 14 or 15 years old to work as a body double? Is there any evidence?Brian8710 09:09, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I've removed the statement.Brian8710 19:28, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
