Jairus are an indie/post hardcore band from Kent in England. Formed in October 2001 by guitarist Dan Lucas and vocalist Adam Bray.
Between October 2001 and December 2002 Jairus toured throughout the UK, gaining a large fanbase in a short period of time, and were consequently signed to UK hardcore label Skipworth Records, who released their debut album The Need To Change The Mapmaker in 2004. Since, Jairus has toured throughout the UK, Europe and Japan and have released a self-titled EP and a split SINGLE with Japanese band "The Stiff". The band is currently signed to Big Scary Monsters Recording Company (UK) and Alliance Trax(Japan). A new album is expected in summer 2007.
