Jainism in Rajasthan

Rajasthan, a state in western India, has had a close historical connection with Jainism.

Swetambar and Digambar divisions represent divergent traditions of Jainism.

South-Western Rajasthan (Mewad, Godwad etc) has been the main center of the Swetambara Jainism. Major Digambara centers are in the northern and eastern parts of Rajasthan. The major ancient Jain centers include
