[edit] History
Jagged, or "Jag", as he liked to be called, was a ruggedly handsome young Corellian, who grew up among the Chiss, a race of blue-skinned aliens in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. He led Spike Force into the Battles of Garqi and Ithor, and then stayed on as a liaison to Colonel Gavin Darklighter's Rogue Squadron, possibly due to his attraction to the young Jedi Jaina Solo, who also served on the squadron. He joined the Twin Suns Squadron when Solo was given command of it. By this time, they had developed an intimate relationship of some sort. He fought in the Battle of Borleias (where his life was saved by Jaina Solo, and, even though the Yuuzhan Vong won the battle, the New Republic got away victorious after the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya rammed the Vong worldship. At the end of the Yuuzhan Vong conflict, he became a Chiss diplomat and stayed in Known Space. He and Jaina are currently broken up mainly due to the Kilik conflict. He was shot at by Jaina and then taken down by Leia in The Swarm War, the third book in the Dark Nest Trilogy. Before Jaina shoots at him, she declares her love, and after the battle immediately wishes to know his status, but is denied the information, she is not given permission to aid in the search for him).
In "Tempest", part of the Legacy of the Force series, it is discovered that Jagged Fel has been shunned from Chiss society as punishment for Lowbacca's actions against the Chiss Ascendency, in which the Fel family took full responsibility for. Jag helps Han and Leia Solo in their search for Tenel Ka's would-be assassins.
In "Exile", Jag returns to aid in the search for Alema Rar and the Sith Lady Lumiya. He had developed two devices to help him. The first was a program that used facial recognition to search for them while simultaneously tracking "glitches" in holorecordings that would indicate the use of the force to hide somebody's presence. The other was a devices that sent electrical impulses through the body to convert short term memory into long term memory, negating Alema Rar's abilty to erase short term memory.
He is deadly calm and serious in battle, knowing if he makes a mistake that himself and his squadmates could pay for it with their lives.
In the Star Wars: Legacy comic series, Roan Fel is the Emperor of the New Galactic Empire. Roan is described as the third emperor of the Fel Dynasty, leading many fans to speculate that Jagged becomes the first Emperor of the new Fel Dynasty. Interstingly enough, Roan's daughter the Princess Marasiah Fel bears a striking resemblance to Leia, causing speculation that Jaina Solo will eventually wed Jagged and help found the Fel Dynasty.
A distinguishing feature is a scar which ran from his right eye and up into his hairline. This is usually covered by a single white lock of hair. He received it while fighting for the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force along the borders of Chiss space.
