Jadoon

The Jadoon are a Pashtun tribe. They live mainly in the Abbottabad, Haripur and Swabi districts of Sarhad, Pakistan. Their language is Pashto in Swabi and mostly Hindko in Abbottabad. The Jadoons were freedom fighters and they showed bravery against their rivals, especially the Sikhs and the British with other prominent Pashtun tribes of the region like Swati, Tareens and Shilmani. Their leader Sakhi Jan Jadoon had been martyred during the freedom efforts against the Sikhs in the 18th century. They are divided into three clans, namely Salar and Mansoor and Panu-khel. Hassa Zai is also one of the major sub tribes of Jadoon. They are mostly living in Gadoon Amazai, Abbottabad (Sheikhul Bandi, NawanShehr,Chamnaka,Bandi Ataai Khan, Dhamtor and Mir Pur Kakul, Havalian, Neelay pare), Haripur(Bagra,NIka Pah, Karakki, Gandian, Langrial) and Kala Dhaka area. Some of the Jadoon personlaties are Karamdad khan Jadoon of Moreklan, Pir khan jadoon of Banda pir khan, Suhbat khan Jadoon of Bandi Dhundan Haji Gohr Rehmaan Khan Jadoon Of Nika Pah Haji Adalat Khan Jadoon Of Chamnaka, Karim DaD Khan Jadoon Of Bandi Attai Khan and Rehmat Khan jadoon of Sheikhul bandi.
