Jade Ricefield

Jade Ricefield a character featured within the famed ancient Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods. Jade Ricefiled is a neutrally ranked officer serving under King Zhou. During the time of Flying Tiger's escape and arrival at Phoenix City, Grand Old Master would send Jade Ricefield to spy on Mount Singing Phoenix with his brother, Jade Thunder. Once Ricefield would be defeated by Nimblefoot after being caught, Ricefield would stand before Jiang Baby Tooth and refuse to kneel -- for Baby Tooth was no more than a "peon". Before Ricefield was to be put to death, Yellow Flying Tiger would approach the execution quarters and convince Ricefield to become a general under King Wu. Thus, Ricefield was try to convince his brother. However, simple minded as usual, Ricefield would realize that his family would be killed if King Zhou found out; thus Ricefield and his brother would rebel once again to no avail. In the end, Ricefield's life would be spared, but he would be forced to stay within Phoenix City.
