[edit] Welcomes

Hello, again. :) Actually, we've been welcome new users for quite some time, and we even have a welcoming committee. You've probably been overlooked to this point because of your low profile over here at the 'pedia. – ClockworkSoul 23:05, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] West Buckland School

Thanks for the message which I have only just seen. I met Berwick Coates in Dec 2003, when visiting WBS for the first time in about 50 years. My interest is in the work of the school's founder. Curiously, I have also been studying Dartington Hall history, hence I got into who the Elmhirst's were. The link between Dartington Hall and WBS is that the mother-in-law of the founder of WBS was born in Dartington House in 1807! but that is rather obscure. I do not recognise the other name you mentioned. Op. Deo 29 June 2005 12:13 (UTC)

P.S. I see what you mean about Millfield - strong on boasts, weak on facts. Are you at WBS? Perhaps there are some more facts to add? I have all the history books but not sure what more would be useful. Op. Deo 29 June 2005 12:23 (UTC)

[edit] Flirtations

Hi. My name is James. I pressed your name on the Flirtations. I'm actually the one who created the page in the first place, I'm only 15. I was really surprised to find out how young you are and that you like independent films, like me too. I'm obsessed. My sister and I love making films...we love independent films...someday I want to make one and submit. I am taking acting lessons. How come you are a fan of the Flirtations if you're only 18? I thought I would have been the only kid to like them in the entire world! I'm from America. I, ironically, wanted to make a film about Northern soulies and their passion for rare music...I love 60's and 70's girl-groups...and I've downloaded a million mp3's, practically. E-mail me. jmccoymoniz@comcast.net

I'm also into pop art, and i do a lot of it myself...I'll have a website out soon...it'll be a comic on the internet,

[edit] Borough

These types of claims are generally very dubious. Recorded history for the time period involved is very fragmentary, especially in the field of local government. Many self-governing towns that would later be chartered as boroughs were happily self-governing before the year 1000, and this doesn't appear to refer to the first Norman charter grant, so I'm very skeptical about the claim and even whether it is provable. [edit] Pilton Article

Hi there. Sorry to suddenly appear on your discussion page, but I thought this would be the best place to post this so you see it... I have edited the Pilton article so it reads "suburb of Barnstaple". I've added an entry to the discussion page on the article explaining this. 10th January, 17:20 by Matthew.

[edit] Pilton Article

Many thanks for the reply and comment regarding the 4 tildes for signing name, time and date. I am still quite new to Wikipedia and I still haven't familiarised myself with all the styles, code you can put in articles when editing etc. Well, here goes with 4 tildes: Matthuxtable 18:52, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstaple and Barum

Hi Jack, Thanks for your comment. I think there is more that can go in the Barum item, I'm researching it at the moment. I did put a bit on the Pilton article about the origin of Barnstaple - Maybe I should move it to the Barnstaple article? Lynbarn 23:35, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Madadayo

I have reinstated your link to Uchida Hyakken, and added a few lines about him in the article. It would take a more competent person (i.e. someone who knows Japanese) to make a real article about Hyakken. --Thorsen 12:57, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:

I just thought (not very strongly) that it was not appropriate. The article already said that Musashi was a historical figure and linked to the article on him. If you don't agree, you can just reinstate it - I don't mind, but, if you do, could you at least fix it up a little? elvenscout742 13:03, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] References in Samurai Jack

Hey Sy, If you think that episode 310 has a reference to the Matrix then feel free to add it to the page! Jack 17:19, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Actually, now that I think of it, it's doing service to Spiderman 1 -- Sy / (talk) 11:11, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Samurai Jack

  • Sorry about the faulty merger, wasn't sure many people were working on Samurai jack :) Also, if you want to work on Samurai Jack sometime and get it to FA status, let me know, I'm a big fan! :) -MIke Judgesurreal777 21:35, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] References in Samurai Jack

Please be careful with your edits. You removed the AfD tag from References in Samurai Jack, which could be seen as vandalism. Cheers --Pak21 07:18, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Re Devvo - Why do you think that he 'plays' Devvo? Why is your assumption more valid than mine - if in doubt leave it out... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bobslayer (talkcontribs).

[edit] POTD feed

Thank you for your kind note on my talk page about the POTD feed! It seems like it still isn't quite working correctly, but I hope to be able to fix that soon. /skagedal... 14:33, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
