Jacqui McQueen

Jacqueline "Jacqui" Molota (Nee McQueen) is a fictional character on the long-running Channel 4 British television soap opera Hollyoaks.

She is played by Claire Cooper and made her debut in September 2006, after being released from jail for shop lifting.

She used to look after her siblings whilst Myra McQueen was at work. She made them shoplift things and put them into Michaela's pram. The first thing that Jacqui did on Hollyoaks was grab Russ Owen, her sister Mercedes' boyfriend, in a headlock, when she mistakenly thought that he was a burglar when he was getting a chair for Jacqui's mother, Myra McQueen. Soon after coming to Hollyoaks, she met Tony Hutchinson and had a one night stand with him. This inspired Tony to go on holiday and sort his life out. When Tony returned to Hollyoaks, the two reunited and became a couple once again, but as Jacqui violated her tag with Tony (she stayed at his house all night instead of leaving at 7pm) she has now been imprisoned; the pressures of this made it too hard for Tony to cope and he broke off the relationship. Jacqui has now been released from jail and now has it in for Justin Burton as he put Becca Dean in jail. She made good friends with Becca and was adamant that she would force Justin to tell the truth. Justin eventually did tell the truth, but on the day Becca was due to be released, she was stabbed and killed by cellmate Fran.

Jacqui took Becca's death hard and is now trying to make something of herself, as she has realised that life is too short to waste, but she has now been forced by Davey (who she used to work for and who put her in prison) to marry Albanian Aleksander Malota so that he can stay in the country. She and Aleksander have managed to convince an immigration officer that their relationship is genuine, and were wed in a registar ceremony. Jacqui's little sister Mercedes knows that something isn't right with Jacqui's 'relationship' with Aleksander, although John-Paul, Tony and Dom are the only people who know the truth.
