Jacques Songo'o

Jacques Celestine Songo'o (born March 17, 1964 in Sakbayenne) was a Cameroonian footballer.
Songo'o, a veteran goalkeeper, featured in every World Cup from 1990 to 2002. He was also a member of the Cameroonian squad that competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. His most successful period was the years at Spanish club Deportivo La Coruña, where he once won the Zamora Trophy (awarded to the best goalkeeper of the season). When Deportivo bought José Francisco Molina in 2000, Songo'o soon lost his place and was eventually transferred to his old club FC Metz. After some time he returned to A Coruña, where he now lives, having retired from his footballing career.
Jacques Songo'o has French citizenship. his son, French U-19 international Franck Songo'o is also a talented footballer, playing as a right-sided midfielder at Portsmouth.
