Jacqueline Natla is a fictional character in the Tomb Raider video game. She is a wealthy businesswoman and the owner of Natla Technologies. She was born on the 22nd of June 4004 B.C.E., has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Jacqueline Natla was one of the members of the triumvirate ruling ancient Atlantis. She was condemned for misuse of power and imprisoned in a time capsule by her joint-rulers, Qualopec and Tihocan. After escaping from her prison in the late twentieth century she founded her own company called Natla Technologies using her scientific expertise and cunning, and hired Lara Croft to search for Qualopec's piece of the Atlantean Scion in his Tomb. Later on in the game in the last level, Natla throws herself off a high ledge inside the pyramid, making her fall to the lava below, seeimgly dead. Then at the end of the level, she returns as a winged creature similar to those already seen with a red gun for her arm, which you must fight. Once killing her the tomb starts to collapse and you must get out in time.
Natla is also rumored to be partially involved in Lara Croft's latest adventure, Tomb Raider: Legend, due to the fact that during the batle against the final boss, Amanda Evert, several crates featuring the "Natla Industries" logo are scattered through the scenario. Amanda also bears a slight resemblance to Natla, which may have some significance in the upcoming game, Tomb Raider: Anniversary. In the latest game Natla is voiced by actress Grey Delisle.
Natla has featured in a number of Tomb Raider fan fiction stories, including "GM" and "The Dead" by Ostercy and "An Eye For An Eye" by Dr. Amazing, available to download at The Croft Codex. The Klaxons song "Atlantis to Interzone" is dedicated to Natla.
