[edit] Biography
[edit] Early life
Her interest in astronomy began when she was about seven years old. She used to look up at the stars and be fascinated by them, only to be interested in many other things too, like archeology, music and art. Her father was an art teacher and taught me to draw. She did not have any brothers or sisters and spent a great deal of time reading. I always wanted to be able to create my own books one day. But I also spent a lot of time outside, wandering fields. She learned much about natural history — wild flowers, birds and stream life.
[edit] Current
She went to university to study physics because she knew she wanted to do astronomy. Following this, she researched in astrophysics for my PhD, but eventually realized I was more interested in sharing my excitement about the universe than doing research. She have now had over twenty books published, many of them for children. She have been married since 1970 and have two grown-up daughters. She still like music (I'm an associate of the Royal College of Music), and she still love to look at the wildlife in my garden from the window where she works.
