Jackson Georges- (American citizen)- Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Son of a prominent Haitian artist, Duclavier Georges (Leconte). Jackson is an accomplished artist. He started painting and sculpting at the age of 7. Jackson attended Foyer Des Arts Plastics, a fine Haitian Art School. In U.S.A. Jackson attended City College where he majored in Architectural Design. He uses all types of mediums such as wood, marble, metal, leather, stone, water color collage, acrylic and oil on canvas. His style is influenced by his father's modern and surrealistic sculptures. His works have also been on exhibit at leading art galleries throughout Haiti, at World Trade Art Gallery, The United Nations, and Mehu Gallery in the United States and in several private exhibitions. Jackson's paintings and sculptures are in private collections in Haiti, U.S.A. and several caribbean and european countries.
