Jackson Township is one of fourteen townships of Auglaize County, Ohio, in the United States. It is in the southwestern part of the county and includes part of the villages of Minster and New Bremen. Jackson Township contains slightly more than nineteen square miles and in 2000, it had a population of 3,577, up from 3,415 in 1990. Of those, 776 lived in the unincorporated part of the township, 2,794 in Minster, and 7 in New Bremen.

The township is bounded on the north by German Township on the west by Marion Township in Mercer County; on the south and east by McLean Township in Shelby County; and also on the south by Patterson Township in Darke County. The parts of the municipalities of New Bremen and Minster remain in the township.

The township contains the northern tip of Lake Loramie.

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township clerk, who serves a four-year term beginning on April 1 of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election. Vacancies in the clerkship or on the board of trustees are filled by the remaining trustees.

The majority of the township is in the Minster School District with western portions being located in the Marion Local School District. The majority of the township is served by the Minster (45865) post office, with the southwestern section of the township served by the Fort Loramie (45845) post office.

Jackson is the second (behind Washington) most popular township name in Ohio; 36 other state townships share the same name.
