"Jack and Swamp Monster", also known as "Jack and the Three Gems", is the eighth episode of Samurai Jack's third season. The episode aired on May 10, 2003.

Jack meets a hermit living in a swamp who is supposed to know how get him back to the past. The hermit tells Jack a story about how Kronos, father of Zeus, forged three gems to be used to control time and space. After a battle between father and son those gems were hidden on planet Earth.
The hermit guides Jack to the hidden gems. One by one, in risky missions, Jack collects them all. When Jack is expecting the hermit to open a path to the past, it turns out that the hermit was Jack's nemesis, Aku, in disguise. With the gems helping, Aku invokes a Swamp Monster to kill Jack. Anyway, Jack defeats the monster and Aku barely escapes from him.

- In "Jack and the three Gems", the origin of the gems is based on the life of the Gods and Titans of the ancient Greece. Even the name of the gods are taken from this source, for example Kronos.
