John 'Jack' Walker was a fictional character in the ITV1 soap opera Coronation Street during 1960 and 1970. The character was portrayed by Arthur Leslie.
Jack was the husband of Annie Walker and the landlord of the famous Rovers Return Inn. When Arthur Leslie died in 1970, it was a shock to viewers and was the first time a major Street character had to be written out because of the actor's death.
